Thursday, February 28 - Planning our kayak trip

     We were glad to hang around the town for the day, getting information about kayaking in Abel Tasman, doing some shopping, and visiting with our fellow residents of the campground.  Plus, we got counted in the New Zealand census!  Everyone in the country on the last night of the month is issued a big census packet, which Diana spent about an hour filling out.  So the 4 million people of the country will include two tourists from Ohio and one from Colorado in the next official report.
