| Driving on the road to Arthur Pass we came across these amazing limestone rock outcroppings called Castle Hill. Totally unexpected. Of course, we had to stop and check them out. Turns out this area was used in LOTR. |

| A few kilometers further up the road we walked to see Cave River, where a stream bed actually has cut a channel through the rock for 650 meters. |
