Saying goodbye to Kristy

I haven't posted for awhile, we've been cramming in adventures for our last days together with Kristy.  We climbed Mount Owen, (again), then did a five day kayaking trip in Abel Tasman National Park.  But more on that later.
Yesterday we crossed Cook Strait and returned to the North Island, stopping at Wellington, where Kristy's Kiwi friend Alana lives.  We went out for a goodbye dinner in town last night, then had dessert back in Alana's place, Mac's Sassy Red Bitter Ale and Tim Tams.
Our last meal with Kristy
So now, after three months of traveling with various combinations of the kids, we're back on our own.  We've only got 37 days left now, and the last week of that will be mostly hanging around Auckland selling the van.  More fun stuff to do and interesting places to see, but we're beginning to get a little of that excitement about getting home to see the rest of the family, our friends, and our house.

We'll miss you, but look forward to seeing you in Colorado in May.
Love, Mom and Dad
