Rain Forest Walk
Let's go for a walk in the jungle
Diana and I had
run out of milk, so we couldn't have cereal; and bread, which meant no Aussie
Brekky or even bread and jam. We've always got the fixin's for
oatmeal, but somehow that didn't appeal to either one of us, so we
drove to the shopping center to find something to eat. Since it was
only 6:30 am nothing was officially open, but a bakery there offered
to sell to us if we had exact change. Do we have exact change?
We've got around $60 in coins in the ash tray, not as much as you'd
think since Oz does have one and
two dollar coins, but we were pretty sure we could cover it. So we bought a couple large croissants and went
back to the campground, and had them with coffee.
We met C&A in
their room around 9, then spent the next couple hours trying to
figure out what to do with ourselves for the next few days. Didn't
come up with anything definitive, but we knew we were just spinning
our wheels in the apartment, so we headed off in their car up to the
rain forest on the coastal range.
We did get a little rain from time to time |

Where do you want me to stand? |
Now this is how you pose for a photo |
We got back near
sunset, glad to have a couple cold beers, followed by leftover pasta, salad and a little wine. Everything in moderation I always say.
We discussed our plans with a bit more discipline, then Diana and I
walked back to our tent and went to bed.
The contrast between the giant ferns and all the green in this post is startling from all the Outback pictures of prior postings.
