Kim and
Jake had to go to work in the morning. Jake is on his two week break
between HS sessions, so he can work full days at the motorcycle
shop. Australian kids don't get three months off in the summer like
ours do. Their summer break is five weeks starting on Christmas,
their longest time off from school. Their Spring break is now, and
they get also get about two week breaks between their other sessions.
They go to school all year long but end up going to about as many
days of schools as American kids.
Home alone, I worked on making a folding table for when we camp
without a picnic table, and Diana worked on curtains and important
computer stuff.
I
made lamb meatballs in stroganoff sauce for dinner. One of Kim's
friends, Warren, came for dinner, and we had a good conversation about
places to see in Oz.
