While we ate our oatmeal and packed up we enjoyed the beautiful views from our campsite.
While in Brisbane I had looked for a basket to put on the roof of the LC on Gumtree, a Down Under site similar to Craigslist, and found one in the town of Bellingen, and now here were just a couple miles from his house. We drove there, I looked it over, we bought it, and I installed it on the roof racks Kim had given us a couple months earlier, all in less than 30 minutes. Sometimes things work out
easier than you expect.
We drove up the road to Armidale, which is called the
Waterfall Way. Kim had taken us on the same road on out trip to Iluka, and we wanted Kristy to see some of the places we'd been.

Hello down there |

On the Rainforest Skywalk. Mist surrounded us so the view was
limited, but bird song floated through the fog |

It felt primeval down in the forest |

This leech got ahold of Kristy. At least it hadn't come from a dunny. |

You might be able to tell from the photos, it's been a little chilly by Aussie standards. Kristy wonders where all the heat we've been talking about is.
Our reunion with Kim took place in the parking lot of a car parts store, where we had stopped to order a new starter motor. But more about that later.
It felt like returning home. Kim made us lamb stroganoff, and three Burts and two Chorleys spent the evening having a great time catching up.
