Monday, December 10 Roadside Rests North of Byron Bay to Belligen

We've been at Kim's for a couple days, it's like being home with family.  We're getting ready to head to Sidney to pick up Ryan at the airport tomorrow, but in response to Kelly's plea I'm trying to make a quick posting.

We left the leechy toilets behind and had breakfast at a park in Murrwillumba.  From there we drove down to Byron Bay, famous for it's laid back surfing scene.  It was cloudy and cool while we were there, but there were still a few swimmers and surfers playing in the stinger free water.
Catching waves,... and fish

"This is the newest dance move in OZ, Mum" ...
... "I like the old one's better".
We found a nice rest area on the road up to Armidale to spend the night.  I cooked fresh prawns and veggies with penne for dinner.  And there weren't any leeches in the toilets, so it was nearly perfect.
