We had one last day in Wellington, so we drove into town for a little more sightseeing, and to use the invaluable free Wifi by the harbor.
This very early Anglican church was built of wood, a good idea in an earthquake prone country |
Beautiful joinery in the framing |
Next to the museum there is a spot where kids can jump into the harbor waters |
A never ending line of jumpers and a few cannonballers trying to soak the spectators |
Further out in the harbor people sailed, kayaked, and rowed |
Launching a Maori canoe |
Back on dry land, non-contact martial arts set to music |
What a beautiful interior on that church!
